Our private critiquing sessions with (the amazing!) Diana Thorneycroft are now under way! This is your chance to get some great feedback, advice and coaching from a lady who has - it seems - done it all! Diana has exhibited around the world and is the recipient of a number of awards from the Canada Council, the Manitoba Arts Council and the Banff Centre for the Arts. In addition to her success as an artist, as a human being Diana is extremely humble, warm and incredibly supportive - and her critical eye and experience as a creator will enable us to get top-notch advice on our works-in-progress. Here's a link to Diana's website - check out her amazing work!
Please remember that if you have been scheduled for Wednesday critiques, you are to meet Diana at 618 Arlington. Call my cell if the door is locked and you can't get in! People with Thursday critiques will be at the Edge Gallery, right next door to MAWA. All artists are asked to arrive five minutes before their appointments, to set up their artwork in the way it might be displayed in our show. Again, we would like to thank the Manitoba Association for Art Education and Mentoring Artists for Womens Art for sponsoring our very first formal critiquing process!
